ME, YOU and OTHERS

My last post was in april 2009, already 7 months i din visit my blogs, 7 months..... does it long times? i don know how to get the answer. Many people say it is a short period but other said it long.

According to calculation, 7 months almost equal to 28 weeks or 168days or 4032 hours.
Does it long? to me, it is not the matter of long or short period. it is the matter how i pass through this 7 months.

Many things happen... important things and miscellaneous things, happy and unhappy, good and bad.
let talk about the good things.
1. MY GF and I.... very love each other, we more understand each other compare to the initial journey of love.
2. i very happy in my study, i meet many very good lecturers (Dr. WOng Sau wei from peadiatric, Dr. Halim from othopeadic, AP Dr. Ruzanna ZamZam). they are very dedicate and nice teachers and doctors. bsc of them, i think UKMMC sure will be one of the best medical center in the world.
3. i already learned and knew how to build the my own desktop. planning to do bussiness in future but still in the process of planning..... do u support me?
4. my father just brought Panansonic 40' LCD, woo.. nice tv. i like it.

Bad things....
1. my grandpa has diagnosed with lung cancer and had metastases to multiple organs. however, that stupid doctor until now still did no explain to us complete what happen to him not even prognosis. He so selfish when i ask him question last time, he like try to hide sometimes in behind. he thought we are 'layman' don know anythings. at least must tell in simple way. he can suddenly said my grandpa will die soon, then the nest day he say my grandpa nothing very healthy. he even scold my grandpa not coming to trace his biopsy result, what this stupid doctor saying, he is the person who suppose to trace the result, this is his resposiblility. i really interest where he graduate, if not mistaken is UM. anyway, this is not important now, my grandpa is in severe condition nothing can be reverse. he is on chemotherapy now. we trying our best to give him the best ever. he is suffering...... hope everthing will be fine.
Pls as a medical personal, remember! Communication is so important... patient not want the doctor like GOD can heal everything, they just want to knew what happen to them and tell them the truth pls be sincere. always remember the person having the disease is the patient is not U, doctor. haiz... don know how to continues de...... it is so sad that i saw my senior like this.....
My grandpa din blame anything pun, he so tough and strong.... he had UTi last few days now stil in delirium stage... he has disorganised speech and thought.. however he stil remember one of his grandchild is study medicine in KL, he always ask when he going to back........... sorry i cannot continues...

Rotavirus

Rotavirus is the most common cause of severe diarrhea in infants and children worldwide, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In fact, rotavirus infections are so common that most children have at least one bout with rotavirus by age 2 or 3.

Signs and symptoms
A rotavirus infection usually starts with a fever, followed by three or more days of watery diarrhea and vomiting, which can cause dehydration and even can be fatal. The infection can cause abdominal pain as well. In adults who are otherwise healthy, a rotavirus infection may cause only mild signs and symptoms — or none at all.

Causes
Rotavirus is present in an infected person's stool several days before symptoms appear through up to 10 days after symptoms subside. The virus spreads easily through hand-to-mouth contact throughout this time — even if the infected person doesn't have symptoms.
Sometimes rotavirus spreads through contaminated water or infected respiratory droplets coughed or sneezed into the air.
Because there are many types of rotavirus, it's possible to be infected more than once. However, repeat infections are typically less severe.

Prevention
To reduce the spread of rotavirus, wash your hands thoroughly and often — especially after you use the toilet, change your child's diaper or help your child use the toilet. But even strict hand washing doesn't offer any guarantees.
Enter the rotavirus vaccine. In early 2006, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a new vaccine (RotaTeq) to prevent rotavirus infections in infants. The vaccine is given by mouth in three doses, often at ages 2 months, 4 months and 6 months. Studies indicate that the vaccine prevents about 74 percent of all rotavirus cases, and about 98 percent of the most severe cases. The vaccine is not approved for use in older children or adults.
In 1998, the FDA approved the first vaccine for rotavirus (RotaShield). But RotaShield was withdrawn from the market in 1999 after reports linked it to an increased risk of intussusception — a rare but life-threatening form of intestinal blockage.

Self-care
If your baby is sick, offer small amounts of liquid. If you're breast-feeding, let your baby nurse. If your baby drinks formula, offer a small amount of an oral rehydration fluid or regular formula. Don't dilute your baby's formula.
If your older child isn't feeling well, encourage him or her to rest. Offer bland foods, such as soda crackers and toast. Plenty of liquids are important, too, including an oral rehydration fluid. Avoid apple juice, dairy products and sugary foods, which can make a child's diarrhea worse.
If you're struggling with diarrhea or vomiting, take it easy. Suck on ice chips or take small sips of water or clear sodas or broths. Eat bland foods. Avoid anything that may irritate your stomach, including dairy products, fatty or highly seasoned foods, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine.

This small-small room is my new room in KTDi although quite small but still can live people here, haha :D .
Actually i have 2 tables for study but this one nearer to the window, i prefer study here.

Dragon fruit

The fruit eat by dragon called what? Dragon fruit? Haha.

Dragon fruit also known as Pittaya or scientific name called Hylocereus sp.

Here are some information about the dragon fruit.

Dragon fruit commonly found in South East Asia especially Vietnam and Malaysia. This nutrition-packed fruit is believed to be native to south Mexico but has found itself to be a firm favourite over here in Malaysia. There is the white flesh variety and the other being the red flesh variety. Both come with tiny edible seeds not unlike kiwi fruit seeds. The dragon fruit is actually the fruit from a cactus plant and it has a bright red skin which can be peeled easily. I have previously written a post to document my visit to a dragon fruit farm

Dragonfruit is rich in fibre, Vitamin C and minerals. Dragonfruit is also rich in phytoalbumins which are highly valued for their antioxidant properties. Antioxidants prevent the formation of cancer causing free radicals.

In Taiwan, diabetics use the fruit as a food substitute for rice and as a fibre rich part of the diet.
Dragonfruit may be eaten raw as a dessert fruit, juiced and used in cocktails, ice creams and fermented into an alcoholic beverage

Orchids

There are some orchids in my house. Quite beatiful right? Some of them are new species and some origin from tropical jungle of malaysia and thailand you cannot find it in any local market right now.

Pulau Redang Trip

23 March i start my journey to the east!! HAha JK. :D
Actually i going to the terengganu then Redang Islands.

Here, is the China Town in Kuala Terengganu. Quite nice right i mean the'ancient' only. :)

Now bring u to a Islands callend Island of New life jk nia Is Redang la. U can see the beach n the sea with crystal white water. Wanna drink? haha.

Like in heaven right?
Actually that are many small-small fish in the water. See it?

This is the perfect view of redang. NIce right. Actually i stand on a small rocky hills so it quite high la. You guess what shirt i am wearing? Haha, that one Is PERSIAP shirt.

Ya, The resort also prepare many activities for us.

This is another resort in Redang. Behind this resort is where a special beach located, some call 'Blue beach'. Why call like that? Actually, at night if you use your leg or hand to rub the sand and when the sea water mix wit that sand some blue dots will blinking. For some experince say taht, there is some bacteria in the sand so when we rub it the bacteria produce some reaction with the sea water. :)

This a new resort going to open soon. The apartment very beatiful.

Now time to going back lo. Ya, i have fantastic + unforgetful few days in Redang. Tell you la, there really really nice, if you hav chance u must go oo. Time to end my pulau redang trip. thankx.
